We’ve been a hive of activity here at Llys Meddyg with Hay Festival goers coming and going. Good luck to everyone taking part!
And good luck also to Kirsty, who’s been helping us here with marketing and story-collecting over the last few months.
Kirsty has a business idea and been short-listed to take part in the ‘Green Dragons Den‘ final at Friday’s Hay Festival.
For the last 2-months Kirsty has been talking to us about the potential of QR codes. This little black box – above – THAT is a QR code. You scan it with a smartphone and it will take you to a link – be it video, photos, text or audio. You can scan this one! It should take you to our newsletter sign up page.
What Kirsty want’s to do is help small businesses record and share their story using this cutting-edge technology. And that is the essence of the pitch she will make to the dragons on Friday.
If you are at the festival please check it out! Finalists will be located in the ‘Summer House’ all day and then at 3:45pm transfer to the Elmley Foundation Theatre, where they will present their case. Apparently the audience gets to vote, so if you like the idea you can help Kirsty get this project off the ground.
We, for one, hope she gets this going because we’re excited about how Kirsty is going to use this technology at Llys Meddyg….. she’s been talking about scanning plates to show where you’re food comes from – watch this space!
