Oyster Hunting

oysters_mainpage-2372 Full and New moons mean high and low tides, so Ed and Matt took advantage of the low tides this weekend to forage for oysters on the Cleddau. Ankle deep in mud they scoured the tide line and found lots of native oysters, some of which they devoured there and then! Their foraging partner for the day was Richard Morris, an opera baritone by night and enthusiastic foodie by day. Richard has been a local to Llys Meddyg since the doors opened and in between touring has found time to retreat to Pembrokeshire, where he spent many a happy summer with his Grandparents. If you would like to forage with Llys Meddyg we are running two ‘Seafood Forage’ events for Pembrokeshire Fish Week on the 26th June and 3rd July 2011.
