Kitchen Support

Passionate about a fast-paced environment? Have you got a smile that can light up a room and a nurturing nature? You sound just like what we’re looking for!

Be part of the team…

We’re a family business through and through. Family owned, family run and a warm family welcome for everyone that passes through our door. Llys Meddyg is unique (some might even call it quirky), we like to push knowledge, growth and the concept of ‘normal’. Because if everyone was the same, it would be pretty boring right?

About us…

If you want to get technical, we’re a restaurant with rooms, but we like to think we’re so much more than that! We’re set on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and we like to think of ourselves as a place for people to relax, catch up with friends and explore new tastes and food concepts, whether that’s in our Cellar Bar, Kitchen Garden or Restaurant.

About the role…

At Llys Meddyg, the emphasis for food is on quality. We know that freshness, quality and seasonality are important to our guests, so we work hard to discover local suppliers and producers who support the same beliefs as we do. We also work with our local surroundings and look to nature’s pantry for a lot of our inspiration. Foraging and discovering how nature can make an impact to our flavours is really important to us and should excite you too. We also place community and team support at the height of our beliefs. That’s why you’ll be a part of a kitchen team who are flexible and ingenuitive, you could be producing food for our Kitchen Garden, Restaurant as well as busy functions: that means you’ll have a really varied and exciting workload. We’re on the hunt for someone to support our cooks, who is passionate about fresh, seasonal produce, enjoys the buzz of a busy kitchen in a business that’s transforming and has a desire to learn new skills and techniques. Do you think you fit the bill?

What about the nitty-gritty of the role?

As part of our kitchen team, you’ll motivate your fellow cooks to prep for service for up to 150 people on busy days.  You’ll have an eye for quality, consistency and for portion control. You’ll build good relationships with the front of house team to make sure our guests get exactly what they want, consistently.  A qualification in professional cookery isn’t necessary, but a background in cooking would be advantageous. You’ll be flexible as hours of work are variable to meet the needs of the business.
